Course Description:

 

Principles of environmental engineering design of air, waste, water and wastewater treatment systems and processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment and handling of treatment residuals. Includes coverage of relevant environmental quality concepts. 

 

Attendance:

 

As tests and assignments will include information from class notes, handouts and in-class discussions, attendance is strongly encouraged.   I will provide handouts and homework assignments if you miss class, but you will need to get notes from fellow students.

 

Grading:         Mid-Term Exam (2, In-class and Take Home)  50%

                        Final Exam (Comp, In-class and Take Home)   35%

                        Assignments (Weekly)                                      15%

                       

Exams not turned in on time will receive an automatic 25% off.  Assignment grades will be based on completeness only, and will be returned with a solution set.  You are encouraged to work together on assignments, but not exams!
