  • Oversees the day to day operations of the Career Services Office at the university.
  • Assists students, employers and staff toward the overall goal of professional success.

Denise assumed her duties as Director of Career Services in August 2007 after an extensive career in health care, most recently in human resources, management and marketing.  Her major focus as Career Services Director is assisting students to develop a four year career plan while at Marshall University and then connecting them with employers.

“We want each student to have us in their network of contacts and friends, frequently visiting our office for career planning and job search needs.”

  • Develops, cultivates and maintains employer relations at Career Services.
  • Liaisons with faculty to assist in connecting employers with students.

Debby has an extensive background in sales and customer relations with The Hershey Company and the Herald-Dispatch, building a solid and reliable territory base resulting in numerous sales awards.

“I enjoy the relationship-building with employers and connecting them to both faculty and students. It is very rewarding to have a hand in filling their employment needs and helping our students find successful careers.”

  • Provides career advising and assessment for students
  • Facilitates outreach workshops and presentations for classes and student organizations

Mirek has over ten years of experience in the areas of student administrative and academic services, training, systems, and web technology management in public higher education and corporate education settings.

“Frequently students feel the pressure of committing to a career that in some ways will have impact on the rest of their lives. It is important for them to explore themselves and the Field of work. I am happy to be of assistance with a such an important decision.”
