Cindy Chambers, Linda Encochs, Debbie Chambers, Michelle Burgess, Linda Aluise, Barbara Woodyard, Carolyn Hoag, Pam Wiley, Debbie Baily. (The parents of Cindy and Debbie Chambers died on the plane.)

There was no room for all the cheerleaders on the plane to the East Carolina game. The group had earlier adopted a policy that "all go or none go." This decision saved the lives of some members of the squad, who would otherwise have been on the plane.
