Who We Are:
The Marshall University Graduate College operates a training
clinic in Dunbar, West Virginia, providing low-cost
psychological assessment, counseling, and educational services
to the community.
The Clinic provides a community setting in which clinical skills
are practiced by graduate students who are seeking advanced
degrees in psychology or counseling. As a training facility for
its graduate students, the Community Clinical Services Center
provides mental health and testing services for individuals in
the community who need such services but lack sufficient
resources to pursue other professional assistance.
What We Do:
The clinic provides psychological
assessment services, counseling, and therapy for families,
children and adolescents, adults, and people of all ages with
special needs.
The clinic may also provide academic assessments, performed by
students in the psychology program.
Graduate-level college students provide these services under the
direct supervision of a fully licensed psychologists and
counselors. We reserve the right to refer any person who seeks
our services to another specialized health care provider if and
when necessary.
Services provided by the Marshall University Graduate College
Community Clinical Services Center are available during the
regularly scheduled academic semester.
What We Charge:
Our charges are based upon the client's ability to pay, but do
not exceed $20 per hour.
How To Make an Appointment:
Call our office during the hours listed to make arrangements for
an appointment. We are flexible, and our staff can meet with
you either during regular daytime or evening hours whichever is
more convenient for you.
How to Find Us:
You can find us by getting off Interstate 64 at the Dunbar exit
ram, turn left if coming from I-64 west, right if coming from
I-64 east onto 10th street, cross the railroad tracks, and
continue through the traffic light at Dunbar Avenue. At the
second light, turn right onto Myers Avenue. Immediately after
the first stop sign, turn right onto Ohio Avenue, in front of
the Dunbar Library. Proceed to 1213 Ohio Avenue. Limited
parking is available in front of the clinic and in the municipal
parking lot of Stewart Plaza.
