On August 11 and August 16, the Marshall University Office of Academic Affairs and the Center for Teaching Excellence will host an Orientation for Adjunct Faculty.

Adjunct faculty members are invited to attend two days of exciting sessions:

August 11

Friday: Introduction to Teaching*

1:00-4:30 Introduction to Teaching

*This session is designed for those new fulltime faculty and new adjunct faculty with little or no teaching experience. Other new faculty are welcome to attend.

1:00-2:00         One Day at a Time: Getting Started and Staying Alive
2:00-3:00         Course Design: How to Structure a Course with  Objectives, Outcomes
                       and Activities
3:00-3:45         Grading and Rubrics
3:45-4:30         Classroom Management
4:30-6:30

Resource Fair and Pizza Party—Faculty Only—
MSC Lobby
This session provides all new faculty an opportunity to 1) meet key personnel representing a variety of campus services and 2) learn more about the Huntington community.
