Campus Conversations Fall 2012…GENERAL EDUCATION – WRIT LARGE

  • Writ small, general education customarily designates a set of courses, distributed across curricular and disciplinary areas, required of all undergraduate students at any university.
  • Writ large, GENERAL EDUCATION refers to the larger vision of a university education and the role of general education writ small plays in developing that vision and the goals we set for our graduates.
Using The Heart of Higher Education: A Call to Renewal (Jossey-Bass, 2010), by Parker J. Palmer and Arthur Zajonc, as the basis for discussion and reflections, Campus Conversations will explore:

GENERAL EDUCATION – WRIT LARGE
