familiarize yourself with the three accounts you will need to ensure
your access to all the tools/forms/help available to you as
full-time faculty.
MUID
Your MU ID number is the 9 digit number (901-XXX-XXX) that the
university uses to identify you.
The University provides you with an MUID at time of hire. If you
cannot locate it, look it up on this page:

Your PIN (personal identification number) is a six (6) digit number
that is assigned to you (originally set at date of birth in
six-digit format MMDDYY).
Use your MUID and PIN to login to:
WebCT-Vista (http://vista.marshall.edu)
course management software which faculty use for online
course supplements, electronic reserves, or to develop fully online
courses.

Marshall University's electronic portal which faculty use for a
variety of tasks such as to email students or submit final grades.
MUnet
Your MUnet account allows you to do a variety of tasks and is also
used as your Marshall email address.
The University provides you with an MUnet account
at time of hire. If you cannot locate it, please call Computing
Services at the number below (or visit the main desk on the 4th
floor of Drinko Library) and they will mail you the information you
need.

Example: Ann Expert, has an MUnet Account name of expert and
an email address of expert@marshall.edu
Use your MUnet account to:
- log into campus computers while you are on
campus or access campus services and resources remotely as if
you were on campus.
- access online forms.
- obtain an Exchange Server (Outlook) account
used by all faculty and administration.

Server (Outlook)
This account adds your name and email address to the MU faculty
email system and provides for a simple way of communicating with
faculty and staff without having to look up email addresses, for
scheduling appointments, etc.
To obtain an Outlook account, print the form at the website below,
check Outlook, fill in sections 1 and 3, and bring or mail to:
