Credential Evaluation Services

All international undergraduate student applicants, including first-time freshmen and degree seeking transfer students, must have all previously earned credit evaluated. Graduate student applicants will also be required to have some or all of their credentials evaluated, depending on their intended program of study.

Marshall University recommends that applicants use either of the following for the translation and evaluation of academic credentials.

Applicants can also use current member agencies of:

Please have all evaluation reports sent directly to the Admissions Office, Marshall University, One John Marshall Drive, Huntington, West Virginia 25755.

For transfer students, transcripts from all colleges or universities outside the United States must be translated into English, and evaluated by an accepted U.S. evaluation service before an admission decision can be made. The evaluation should be a course-by-course with GPA report. If you are currently enrolled in a term or semester, you should contact the evaluation service about getting a partial evaluation done. A final evaluation will be required during the first semester of study.

For first time freshman, any high school transcript outside the United States must be translated into English, and evaluated. For this evaluation, a document-by-document with GPA report will be sufficient. If you have not graduated from high school yet, you should contact the evaluation service about getting a partial evaluation done. A final evaluation will be required during the first semester of study.

The applicant is responsible for the timely translation, evaluation, and receipt of documents and for all costs and fees associated with these services.
