If you are a graduate student who is enrolled at another graduate institution and who wishes to enroll in graduate coursework at Marshall University, you can apply to be a transient graduate student. After you apply and are admitted to Marshall, please complete the Enrollment Checklist to become a Marshall transient graduate student.

Review Admission Requirements and Apply

Applying for admission to Marshall University as a transient graduate student is valid for one semester only.

You will need to submit a Marshall graduate student application and a letter of good standing from the registrar at your home institution.

A transient student must reapply and submit all required credentials and fees each term. Please refer to the Graduate Catalog for more information about transient graduate student admissions.

After you submit your completed graduate application, application fee, and all required admission materials, we will review your file and notify you about our admission decision.
