Dear alumni and friends of Marshall, On behalf of the Marshall University Alumni Association, please accept this personal invitation:
You are hereby invited to Homecoming 2007!
Whoooo’s bringing on the thunder! We are! And we need you. Come on home and join the party. Whether you are from Huntington or Philadelphia, like me, come on home. There are trains, planes, buses and cars. All forms of transportation are available, and the more of us there, the louder the thunder. You never live too far away. The Herd connection is always there—act on it and come on home.
We have events for everyone. Check them out in this newsletter. I know you will see many people you know. It is a great time. And it is not all about football, although there is a game against Rice that will be good.
Let’s see that green Homecoming week. Every day no matter where you live, wear the green and show that Herd pride.
Do you know an outstanding alumnus? I bet if you think about it, you can name more than one. We need that nomination. The MUAA wants to honor our special alumni who are outstanding. So go to our Award Winners website and make that nomination. Nominations are accepted through October 15, 2007.
Calling on our Florida alumni - You are invited to the tailgate before our game with Central Florida on November 3. Details will follow soon. Put on your green and join us there. I will be there and I look forward to meeting you all.
As you can see, there’s lots happening in the Herd nation. So put on that green, show that pride and let’s see you. Whether it is at Homecoming in Huntington or at that game-watching event in Houston or Atlanta or D.C. – show that pride, “bring on the thunder” and let everyone know –
