Celebrity Chef Auction to benefit the Marshall women’s basketball program

More than 15 local celebrities will be donating their time and cooking skills to benefit the Marshall women’s basketball program. On Thursday, May 31, WSAZ news anchor Tim Irr will emcee a Celebrity Chef Auction at American Legion Post 177 in Barboursville. The women’s basketball booster club, The Locker Room Club, will tip off the evening with hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. for ticket holders, with bidding to begin at 7 p.m.

Area chefs Rocco Muriale (Rocco’s Restaurant) and Ian Patrick (Black Hawk Grill) headline the cast of chefs. Others include Bobby Pruett, Red Dawson, Jane Kopp, Evan Jenkins, Fran Perry, Monsignor Luciano, Ernie Salvatore and Kim Wolfe. Marshall coaches Royce Chadwick, Donnie Jones and Mark Snyder will also offer up their culinary “expertise” for the event.

The highest bidders will receive their own private dinner at their home served up by their celebrity chef for an evening to remember.

**Bidders for the coaches are encouraged to have smoke detectors in working order in their homes, according to women’s coach Royce Chadwick.

and eat a dinner with you at your home. A great chance to meet
and talk with someone you admire or want to get to know. 
The Marshall Locker Room club pays for the food. The successful bidder supplies the drinks, kitchen equipment, table settings and clean-up.
