The University Functions Committee requests nominations for honorary degree candidates and commencement speaker. Individuals wishing to make such recommendations are asked to send the name, along with supporting documentation, to Dale H. Shao, chair of the University Functions Committee, as soon as possible. Qualifications include persons who have made or could be expected to make significant contributions to Marshall University, monetarily or otherwise, or persons sufficiently outstanding that they clearly deserve such recognition. In addition, nominations should be made for persons who can be expected to attend commencement in order to receive the degree.
