Kopp to be inaugurated as Marshall’s president
on Friday, April 21

Dr. Stephen J. Kopp will be inaugurated as Marshall University’s 36^th president at 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center. Dr. Kopp will be sworn in by West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin.

Several events are scheduled Friday at the performing arts center leading up to and following the inauguration ceremony. Here is the complete schedule:

10 a.m. – University Showcase, featuring demonstrations from a variety of academic areas (lobby)

11:30 a.m. – Pre-Inaugural Luncheon (front lawn)

1 p.m. – Alumni Lecture, featuring Drs. Lonnie B. Thompson and Ellen Mosley-Thompson (Francis-Booth Experimental Theatre)

1:45 p.m. – Inaugural procession forms (playhouse)

2 p.m. – Inaugural ceremony (playhouse)

3:30 p.m. – Reception (front lawn)
