Marshall fans to meet at Krepps
Park in Morgantown
prior to Friends of Coal Bowl
Marshall
University fans
traveling to Morgantown on Sept. 2 for the Thundering Herd’s
football game with West Virginia University are invited to a
pre-game tailgate.
Marshall is
hosting a tailgate from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Krepps Park
near the WVU Coliseum. Admission is $10 per person and includes
food, drinks and giveaways. Students with current Marshall
Student ID’s will be admitted for $5.

Parking at
the tailgate is available on a first-come, first-served basis
for $5. Overflow parking is available at the Coliseum and
several nearby churches. Kickoff for the game is set for 3:30
p.m. at Milan Puskar Stadium.
With Krepps
Park being located less than one mile from Puskar Stadium, event
organizers would like all Marshall fans to walk to the game as a
group at 2:30 p.m. “It’s a great way to demonstrate that we
traveled here to support the Herd,” Marshall Student Body
President Benjamin Sandy said. “We want everyone to wear their
green, travel to the stadium together and cheer on the
Thundering Herd.”
Sponsors for
the Sept. tailgate include 93.7 The Dawg,
Graffiti, Pepsi,
Herr’s, Atomic Distributing, Marshall University Alumni
Association, Big Green Scholarship Fund and Marshall Student
Government Association.
