Marshall
University's Annual Military Ball
This year we are continuing the
initiative of inviting ROTC alumni to the Annual Military Ball. Last
year the event was a huge success, due not only to the alumni in
attendance, but due to the alumni sponsorship of cadets. Col. Tony
Crutchfield, who recently returned from command duty in Afghanistan,
delivered the keynote speech.
This year we are having the Military
Ball during Alumni Weekend on Thursday, April 19, at the John
Marshall Room in the Memorial Student Center. The scheduled
distinguished speaker for the event is Woody Williams, Medal of
Honor recipient. Details on this event will be forthcoming on our
web site and through direct invitations.
The department has begun several
initiatives to achieve a vision of producing a world-class
leadership and commissioning program, in synch with the university’s
initiatives toward national prominence. Through support from alumni,
the department hopes to continue building continuity between past,
present and future graduates.
Marshall’s ROTC alumni graduates
frequently stop in to praise their ROTC experience as critical to
shaping their success. The department welcomes interested alumni to
attend the ball or visit at any time. If you are interested in these
events, please contact Maj. Jeffrey Stephens at (304) 696-6450.
