Hello alumni
and friends,
I hope
everyone is staying warm. It seems winter has finally decided to
rear its head here in Huntington, but we’re still managing to
keep going.
The Alumni
party before the MU/WVU basketball was a great event, very well
attended, and had a touch of our movie to it. We had big movie
posters lining the way into our room at the Charleston Civic
Center and there were many comments on wanting to whisk those
posters away to certain homes in the area (mine included)! The
game didn’t go our way, but it was a great evening and we were
very glad to be there and support our students and alumni at the
game. We also helped our student body by sponsoring two buses to
take them to the game and back. I’m happy to say the students
loved it and filled the buses!
The Alumni
Association's sights are now set to have a wonderful Alumni
Weekend the 20th and 21st of April. We
have planned a weekend full of events for you, so please take
advantage of this. It coincides with the weekend of the Green
and White Football scrimmage. Our theme for the weekend is “THE
STARS ARE OUT TONIGHT” and we will honor some very special stars
of Marshall.
Spring also
leads us to talk of job fairs and graduation and a whole new
crop of alumni we welcome into our ranks, so stay tuned for more
information coming to you on our website.
Thanks and
stay in touch. I’ve heard from so many of you about your
Marshall movie experiences getting in your local papers. I’ve
loved all the articles. Thank you for forwarding them on.
As always, if
you need to contact me, my e-mail address is
