It's another New Year and with it have come some changes in our Alumni Association. Lance West, who has been with us for several years, has taken a position in the Marshall University Foundation as the major gifts officer and we wish him well. Tish Littlehales is now our new alumni director. She has moved in and is ready to work with our Alumni Association clubs and the board to promote Marshall University. She and I agree we must be ready to help new clubs get started in key cities. As such, I think she will be on the road a lot getting out to meet alumni and visit existing clubs. We know we need to strengthen our club network and personal visits are one way to help. I will also be on the road some to help with this. So, when you call or come into the Alumni Center, you’ll see a new face and you’ll want to greet her and get to know her. We are continuing to work on our new home and hope to have news of our groundbreaking date soon. The Association will be reaching out to students soon in a number of ways, first by sponsoring student buses to the MU/WVU basketball game in Charleston and by having booths at all the job fairs in the spring. We found this really got our message out to students last year and we’ll try to do another Spring Fling ice cream social during dead week for them too. Its an exciting time for Marshall, all the world knows who we are now with our movie, so be proud and tell everyone who you are !!! Sincerely,
