Herd Coaches Tour thunders into Princeton
Tazewell native and former football standout Jack Crabtree
featured in Kickoff Celebration
Here comes the Herd! Mark your calendar for Friday, April 28, at
6:30 in Princeton as the Marshall University Coaches Tour kicks
off at the Douglas Center for a reception and dinner hosted by
the Four Seasons Big Green Club.
Headliners at the Herd reception will be head football coach
Mark Snyder, head men's basketball coach Ron Jirsa, head womenıs
basketball coach Royce Chadwick. Other Herd coaches and athletic
department staff members will also attend.
Exclusive features of the Princeton stop will include an
appearance by Young Thundering Herd player and Tazewell County
native Jack Crabtree from the
1971 Marshall Squad. Crabtree's block keyed Terry Gardner's
touchdown on the last play of the Herdıs dramatic 15-13 win over
Xavier the season following after the tragic plane crash that
claimed the lives of 75 Marshall players, coaches and
supporters.
Also featured will be a chance to meet the coaches and an
auction of exclusive Marshall items. Tickets for the dinner and

The tour will have other stops along the way in Huntington,
Williamson, Point Pleasant, Beckley, Charleston, Logan,
Hurricane, Parkersburg and Glade Springs, as well as
out-of-state jaunts to Lexington, Ky., and Cincinnati, Ohio.
