As of January 7,
1,999,988 fans had entered the Cam Henderson Center since its
opening in 1981 to watch Marshall University men's basketball.
On January 7, the Thundering Herd hosted nationally-ranked
George Washington and celebrated the 2 millionth
fan to enter the building for men's hoops action with a drawing
for two $200 travel certificates good for flights, hotels,
cruises or any travel related item purchased through National
Travel.
All fans in
attendance were eligible for the prize and the random drawing of
ticket stubs took place at halftime.
In addition to
the halftime travel reward giveaway, the first 1,000 fans at the
game received pom pom shakers.
