The Dr. Carolyn B. Hunter Faculty Service Award
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The
Marshall University Alumni Association is seeking nominations for
the Dr. Carolyn B. Hunter Outstanding Faculty Award.
This $1,000 award is named in honor of Dr. Carolyn Brindle Hunter,
an outstanding teacher, administrator and employee whose dedication
and loyalty to Marshall University spanned a 30-year period. The
great works of Dr. Hunter will be realized for years to come by
Marshall administrators, faculty and students alike.
This award is created by the Marshall University Alumni Association
with the purpose of recognizing contributions and to provide
incentives for continued service from faculty to the community, the
university and students in their respective field.
Past Award
Winners
Nominees will be evaluated on the following:
-
Professional service to the community, such as speaker to different
areas of the community dealing with their specific field (an
accountant assisting those who cannot complete their tax forms),
social service etc.

Service to the university, such as serving on committees within the
university, participating in Welcome Weekend or Student Orientation,
serving on the MUAA Alumni Board.

Service to students such as being an advisor to a student
organization.
Individuals may be nominated by administrators, faculty, staff,
students and alumni by submitting the online nomination form below
or sending the completed printable nomination form on the
next page

The award will be presented during the Alumni
Weekend Awards banquet 2006 and the recipient must be
available to attend.
