Herd gets ready for trip to Argentina

The Marshall University men's
soccer team announced its 10-game spring schedule, which encompasses
a four-game tour in Argentina during Marshall's spring break.
The Herd begins its spring campaign
when it travels to Buenos Aires, Argentina for its Argentina Tour,
Saturday March 22 and return Sunday, March 31.
"Taking this trip to Argentina
provides a fantastic opportunity for our program, Marshall head
coach
Bob Gray said. "The exposure our program will receive will be
extremely beneficial for our future recruiting endeavors and great
for our current student-athletes."
Marshall returns with a pair of
games, Saturday, April 5 against Conference USA foe, Kentucky at 1
p.m. followed by a showdown against Atlantic 10 member, Xavier at 3
p.m
Dayton and Northern Kentucky await
the Herd, Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in Charleston,
W.Va.
The Herd and Virginia Military
Institute will meet, Saturday April 19 at 2 p.m. in Lexington, Va.
Marshall concludes its spring game schedule against in-state rival
West Virginia, Saturday, April 26 at 3 p.m.
"After playing several games in
Argentina, we come back and play some great competition throughout
the spring," Gray added. "As we face Dayton, UK, and VMI, in the
2008 season, it will be a great barometer of where we are heading
into the fall. We end the spring segment with a match-up against
in-state WVU--a match to create a great soccer link in the West
Virginia community."
