Pledging

For more information about pledging Alpha Phi Omega, please come to one of the informational meetings (see calendar).

In order to pledge Alpha Phi Omega, you must have at least a 2.0 GPA and a desire to do service and social activities. The six week pledge process is relatively simple. During your time as a pledge, you must complete at least 15 hrs. of community service (at least 10 hrs. with the chapter). You will also be required to attend the weekly pledge meetings and two ceremonies. During the meetings you will learn about Alpha Phi Omega and take a series of quizzes about our history and principles. During the course of the pledge period, you will also interview 50% of the current active brothers (informal social interview where you will ask the brothers questions and they will ask you questions).

Many fraternities on campus charge exuberant amounts of dues to their members and pledges. Since we do not have a house, we are able to keep our dues and pledge fees much lower that other fraternities. At the beginning of your pledge process, you will have to pay a nonrefundable $45. This includes the national pledge fees as well as paying for materials you will receive during your pledge period.

If you have any further questions about the pledge process, feel free to contact us for more information.
