Carmen Sandiego Math Detective
- from Broderbund, Grades 3-7
. Provides students with an environment in which they can practice discussion and problem-solving skills. Students share opinions, listen to other's ideas, and work together to create the best solutions.
Decisions, Decisions-The Environment - from ?, Grades 5-10. Skills include: computation of whole numbers, geometry, reasoning, problem solving, developing number sense, estimation and mental math. It also comes with off line activities/lessons to teach the software, enhance lessons, and tie to regular curriculum as well as links for extra math practice and research.
Fizz & Martina's Blue Falls Elementary Math Adventures- from Tom Snyder, Grades 3-4. Uses problem solving and mathematical communication skills that parallel NCTM Standards. Can get the whole class involved using only one computer.
The Graph Club from Tom Snyder, a hands-on graphing tool designed for students in grades K-4.
Inspiration Software software that allows brainstorming, planning, graphical organizing, outlining, concept mapping and webbing.
Interactive Chemistry Journal - from Prentice Hall, deals with the concepts of basic skills ( nomenclature, balancing equations, stoichiometry)
energy & matter, atomic structure, molecular structure, gases, kinetics, and equilibrium. It contains lessons and exercises. It is mostly tutorial.
IPSE - by Instructional Performance Systems, expert systems software that includes Course Building, Lesson Building and Exam Building. Demo version available off their website.
Peanut software http://www.exeter.edu/~rparris/ - free software created at Exeter Academy. Includes numerous programs including a general purpose plotting utility, an integer calculator, fractal expressions, discrete mathematics applications, scatter plotting and constructing 2 and 3 dimension geometric figures.
PrimeTime Math - Cliffbound from Tom Snyder, challenging math problems set in real world problems solving. Includes worksheets for follow-up. Also websites for further research. Grades 4-9.
Science Alive - an elementary science series consisting of 18 concept packages from Shortland Publishing.
Science Court - from Tom Snyder, teaches fundamental concepts in elementary and middle school science. Includes hands-on activities, review and predictions covering:
* Sound
* Statistics
* Water Cycle
* Work & Simple Machines

Time Liner - from Tom Snyder, A tool to create and print time lines. May be used in many subject areas K-12, to display relationships between almost any proportional items, ie. Time, size, weight, speed, distance, temperature.
