Goals

 

 

 

(1)    Developing a Vision and Focus for the MU Resource Collaborative and ARSI Districts

(2)    Utilizing the ARSI tools for short and long range planning

(3)         Formulate a 2001-2002 Projects and Planning Calendar

         Review the NSF Drivers and Phase II Goals

Materials Needed

 

 

 

Please bring copies of any tools, documents, instruments, or forms which you believe would be useful and appropriate in planning for the upcoming school year, such as copies of the District 2001-2002 Phase II, Year 2 Implementation Plan; County, School Unified Improvement Plans; Teacher Profile; Teacher Partner Action Plans; Teacher Partner Logs; Implementation Dimensions; Personal Growth Plans; School Calendars, and Data Sources.  

Guiding Questions:            

1.  What kinds of resources and activities will be reflected by the Project and Planning Calendar?  Are we utilizing the ARSI Marshall University Resource Collaborative Website?

2.      What ARSI tools will we utilize to develop the Teacher Partner Action Plan?

3.      What Topics of PD will support the Teacher Partners’ Action Plan?  Will a review of last year survey help to focus?

4.      Where does the data point and what type of data can we collect to build local, regional, and state support for ARST Teacher Partners?

5.      How can we collaborate and gain more resources to improve teaching and learning—student achievement?

6.      How can we scale-up and sustain?

7.      Where do we need to focus?

8.      How can we strengthen the Leadership Team and Catalyst School?   

 9.      Where do the PIR, Student Research Project, and ATEC Technology PD fit?

10.  What are the burning issues that need to be addressed involving curriculum, assessments, standard-based, inquiry, problem solving, hands-on, engaging, higher order teaching and learning strategies and lessons?

11.  How can we improve and make the TP meetings better?   

12.  What are the next steps?

13.  How should the Marshall University ARSI presentation be designed for the WVSTA?

14.   Do we what to schedule a TP meeting at the WVSTA, in addition to the presentation?  

15.  What other questions need to be asked?

We have included copies of some of the ARSI forms which we will be reviewing and utilizing during the August 17, 2001 Teacher Partner meeting for planning.  Please look over these, if you have completed copies from years past you might what to bring those to serve as working examples.   This is a very important planning meeting, if you cannot attend, please e-mail or call.
