Please
bring copies of any tools, documents, instruments, and/or forms that you
believe would be useful and appropriate in planning for the upcoming school
year. One of the major goals of this first Teacher Partner meeting will be to
begin assessing your personal growth needs, as well as establishing
professional development needs for the 2002-03 school year to implement your
District’s Year 3 Plan.
Consequently, copies of your District Phase II, Year 2 & 3
Implementation Plans; Current County and School Unified Improvement Plans;
2001-2002 Teacher Profile; Teacher Partner Action Plans; District and School
Implementation Dimensions Matrix; Personal Growth Plans; School Calendars, and
relevant data will be very helpful in establishing the scope and sequence of
Marshall University’s ARSI Resource Collaborative’s activities. Also,
bring your copy of Nancy Love’s Using Data/Making Decisions book.

What kinds of resources and activities will be reflected by the Project
and Planning Calendar? Are we utilizing the ARSI Marshall University Resource
Collaborative Website?

What ARSI tools will we utilize to develop the Teacher Partner Action
Plan?

What Topics of PD will support the Teacher Partners’ Action Plan?
Will a review of last year’s survey help to focus?
4. Where
does the data point to and what type of data can we collect to build local,
regional, and state support for ARSI Teacher Partners?
5. How
can we collaborate and gain more resources to improve standards-based teaching
and learning to increase student achievement?
6. How
can we ramp-up/scale-up/sustain to become a Full ARSI Implementation District
and sustain?
7. Where
do we need to focus? How do we develop “critical mass?”
8. How
can we strengthen the Leadership Team and Catalyst School?
9. Where
do the PIR/RePIR, Student Research Project, and ATEC Technology PD fit?
10. What
are the burning issues that need to be addressed involving curriculum,
assessments, standard-based, inquiry, problem solving, hands-on, engaging,
higher order teaching and learning strategies and lessons?
11. How can
we improve and make the TP meetings better?
12. What
role do the NSF drivers play in your plan/work?
13. Have
you made your reservations for the WVSTA?
