January 2004

The Teacher Partner meeting in January was very insightful and informational.  Al Cote, from our OU ARSI office presented "Stuff that Works!," discovering the many different kinds of technology, seeking the requirements of technology for the national and state standards, and using new curriculum books to implement technology into the classroom.  Thank you, Al, for a wonderful workshop!

We welcome Jonathan Escue, our new Teacher Partner from Lincolan County to his first TP Meeting.  Glad to have you with us, Jonathan!
Al, are we really going to have a pop quiz on this material at the end of the workshop?
Did I ever tell you all the one about the teacher from Huntington?
Susan and Natalie are testing their skills at this Connect 4 game, which showed them how they can find different patterns and design environments.
Carter looks as if he knows he's not going to win this game against Jo!
Elise Adkins and Loretta Davis finish a game with modified rules to see if it made the game more or less challenging.
Al:  Do you think they want to continue the training until 4:30?

Carter:  Why, I'm sure they'd love to!!

Oh boy!  This is the part where the teachers get to receive one of each of the books that Al brought for them to use in their classrooms.  Teachers love freebees that make their lives easier!
Hear no evil, speak no evil, think no evil and see no evil?!?!  What about this front row!?!?
