Summer 1998 Workshops

The Marshall University Resource Collaborative held three workshops over the summer, one in Algeblocks, one in Math/Science Teaching Stratgies and one in Technology Tools held twice over the summer.

Math manipulative training was offered through the MU Resource Collaborative during the summer of 1998 to Teacher Partners and other teachers from their school districts.

The MU Resource Collaborative worked with the West Virginia Department of Education to support math/science/technology training for teams from ARSI catalyst schools.

The MU Resource Collaborative offered training on Communicating with Technology for Teacher Partners and other faculty from their districts.  Topics covered included Microsoft NetMeeting, ICQ, Webpages and Power Point.  Jim Johnson, Ohio University Network Specialist and Harold Peach, University of Kentucky Network Specialist, Marshall University Learning Resource Center Director, George Watson and Marshall university Resource Collaborative Director, Lynda Cannon, facilitated the training.

Math/Science Strategies
