Do you have a Banner account?  If not, you must enroll in a Banner Basic Navigation Training class.  Print out and complete the User Account Request form that must be signed by your supervisor and the Banner trainer.

Banner Account Request Forms

For authorization to Banner, you must complete the MUINFO Account Request Form and the appropriate Banner User Profile Form(s) below.  The User Profile Form identifies those forms and processes in Banner for which you need access to perform your job functions.  You only need to complete the MUINFO Account Request form once.   You may, however, submit multiple Banner User Profile Forms at anytime once you have completed the MUINFO Account Request Form.

MUINFO Account Request Form BANNER User Profile Forms
  • Required for first-time BANNER users
  • Grants login access to the BANNER application and the MU Network
  • Forces you to read the Marshall University IT Environment Use and Abuse Policy
  • Requires your Supervisors, Dean, Department Head, or Vice-President's signature
  • Continuing Student workers must re-complete before the end of each term to avoid access termination.

Banner Financial Information System User Profile Form  

  • Financial Information System privileges
  • For JV, Invoice, PO Entry, or Payroll Detail Query, the form must be initialed respectively.

Banner Human Resource Information System User Profile Form  (not yet developed)

Banner Student Information System User Profile Form  (not yet developed)

  • Student Information System privileges
  • E-mail Terri Tomblin-Byrd, Computing Services, tomblin@marshall.edu requesting access to Banner forms to perform job functions
  • User Profile form(s) must be re-completed when transferring to a new position
  • Please contact the Marshall University Help Desk at (304) 696-3200 if transferring positions.
  • Students must re-complete the MUINFO Account Request Form before the end of each term.

Notice: Your account will be activated within 24 hours of the receipt of your request form.  Once your account has been activated, you will be notified via telephone.  You will get a password for:

  • Banner - Your password for logging into Banner

  • MUNet - Your password for the Marshall University Network (if a new MUNet user) where the Banner application resides.  You will need to have your MUNet username and password for installation of Banner.


Password Security

  • Access is a privilege granted to you; please use it responsibly.
  • Never share your password.
  • Never allow anyone to logon to or use your username.
  • Don't even share a password with your supervisor.
  • Avoid writing your password down.
