Employee Class (E-Class) Form The Employee Class (E-Class) is used in the Banner HR system to group employees who have similar employment characteristics. The E-Class operates above the Position Class (P-Class) or specific job titles. An example E-Class, F9, denotes all regular-status faculty employees on nine-month base appointments. The E-Class appears on several forms that can be viewed in the Banner View Process and may be a variable that can be set in various Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs). FTE denotes Full-Time Equivalent. 1.0 FTE is a 100 percent time employee. 0.53 FTE is 53 percent of full-time. Questions about the proper E-Class for an employee can be directed to Human Resource Services at 304.696.6455 or by e-mail to human-resources@marshall.edu.
