The Banner HR Human Resources Information System (HRIS) supports several levels of appointments for employees.  The primary or base employment of an individual is characterized as the PRIMARY appointment.  Additionally, Banner HR supports SECONDARY and OVERLOAD appointments.  For any additional jobs for duties and/or pay over and above the normally appointed level, the University will use the SECONDARY appointment.  OVERLOAD appointments are not used at the University.
