Interested in Volunteering at Brain Expo?

Marshall University’s Annual Brain Expo is scheduled for Friday, February 28th at the Memorial Student Center. Volunteers are needed to present interactive stations that teach children about the brain and nervous system. These stations use games and activities like testing reflexes, touching real brains, coloring brain hats and many others to present information in a fun way. One of our major objectives is simply to expose children to science outside of the classroom and to get them excited about it. Volunteers do not need to have neuroscience training and will be given the information necessary to present their station.

Participation in this event is fun and looks great as an outreach or community involvement item on your CV.

Information about the individual stations is available here. We will do our best to accomodate preferences while making sure all stations are covered. To see pictures from previous events, visit our home page.

All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt. There will be snacks available throughout the day. About a week before the event, you will receive your station assignment and detailed information about the activities at your station.

To volunteer, please complete the form below.
