One of the most recognizable mascots in the country, Marco is seen practically everywhere–at sporting events, university functions, and select private events. As Marco, you could be traveling with one of Marshall’s athletic teams, interacting with future students and their parents, or meeting people from around the world.

Students selected to be Marco will receive a generous compensation package, including the following:

• $4,000 per semester in pay
• $1,000 per semester scholarship

Eligibility requirements to be Marco

Aside from being an incredible experience, being Marco is a part-time job. Some specific things to keep in mind:

• Must be a current Marshall University student.
• Must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Cannot have any health issues that could be further exacerbated through the required appearances.
• Must be covered by a personal medical insurance plan and an automobile insurance plan.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to commit time and energy to the position, including weekly and bi-weekly scheduling meetings.
• Schedule flexibility is a must. The position does work around class schedules and prior commitments.
