MU Black Alumni hosted several events for Homecoming 2005,
October 14-15, 2005. This year MU
Black Alumni and Black Legends hosted joint activities.
Some highlights on Homecoming 2005 were the election of new MU Black Alumni
officers, achievement of the goal for the Nate Ruffin Initiative,
announcement for a MU Black Alumini
Royal
Caribbean Cruise in 2007, and a lot of enthusiasm for moving Black
Alumini forward to yet another level.

Alumni Homecoming 2004
Marshall University Black Alumni, Inc. continued its efforts to
establish a legacy during Homecoming 2004.
Black Alumni Headquarters was
again located in the Radisson
Hotel in downtown Huntington, W. Va. The activities began on Friday, October
22, 2004.
There was a lot of fun along with new and old

Black
Alumni Homecoming 2003
Marshall University Black Alumni, Inc. celebrated its 25th
anniversary during Homecoming 2003.
Black Alumni Headquarters was
again located in the Radisson
Hotel in downtown Huntington, W. Va. The activities began on Friday, October
10, 2003.
There were many events including Registration at the Radisson Hotel.
There was also a dance at the Grand Theatre at the
Radisson Hotel from 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
On Saturday,
Marshall University Black Alumni, Inc. conducted the annual business
meeting. There was the MU Black Alumni, Inc Tailgate, which is
becoming a MU Black Alumni tradition. Saturday concluded with a dance
at the
Memorial Student Union and Hospitality at the Radisson Hotel.
There was a lot of fun along with new and old
memories.

Alumni Homecoming 2002
MU Black Alumni Homecoming 2002 was another memorable Homecoming. Black Alumni Headquarters was located in the Radisson
Hotel in downtown Huntington, W. Va.
The activities began on Friday, October
18, 2002.
There was Registration and Hospitality at the Radison Hotel
from 6:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Saturday, October 19, 2002 began with the
Annual Alumni Meeting and Continental Breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
Officials from Marshall University were present to emphasize a commitment to
continue working relationships with
Marshall University Black Alumni, Inc. Dr. Betty J. Cleckley,
Vice-President of Multi-Cultural Affairs and International Programs and Mr.
Craig Groom, Director of Admissions spoke to the
Marshall University Black Alumni members.
The activities continued with the Black Alumni Tailgate at 1:00 p.m.
The Tailgate was a great event. There was plenty of food and
plenty of people were hanging throughout the game. Marshall
played Troy State for this years game. The Black Alumni Dance occurred at the Radisson
Hotel from 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. All of the Hospitality Suites were
open
after the dance.

Homecoming 2001 was one of the best Homecomings in recent
years. Black Alumni Headquarters was located in the Radisson
Hotel in downtown Huntington, W. Va.
The activities began on Friday, October 19, 2001.
There was Registration and Hospitality at the Radisson Hotel
from 6:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. There was a Dance from 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
There were also Hospitality Suites sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
Saturday, October 20, 2001 began with the
Annual Alumni Meeting and Continental Breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
Officials from Marshall University were present to emphasize a commitment to

Homecoming 2000 was also a
memorable Homecoming.
The activities began on Friday, October 20, 2000.
There was Registration and Hospitality at the Radisson Hotel

Show from 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Saturday, October 21, 2000 began with the
Annual Alumni Meeting and Continental Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. The activities continued with the Black Alumni Tailgate at 1:00 p.m.
Homecoming activities concluded with the Black Alumni Dance at the Radisson
Hotel.
