Research Interests

I have been an active researcher for my entire career. My research has focused on the mechanisms by which renal disease progresses and causes cardiovascular (CV) disease. During these investigations, I have, through my collaborations with Drs. Zijian Xie, Jiang Liu and Nader Abraham become interested in the role of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in Na/K-ATPase signaling and the potential for this signaling process to serve as a therapeutic target in renal and CV disease.
