Marshall University 2017 Summer Bridge Math Prep
What: The Summer Bridge Math Prep Program is a FREE two-week workshop designed to enrich math skills for those students who have not qualified to enroll in college-level math at Marshall University. The workshop is taught by Marshall University mathematics faculty. Instructional materials, parking, and lunch are provided. The program is designed to enhance students’ skills in mathematics with an opportunity to improve their level of math placement for the Fall 2017 semester. Students not advancing their placement level will receive an online access code for software needed in their Fall 2017 math course.
Who: Freshmen admitted for Fall 2017 who have paid their University enrollment deposit and are not qualified to enroll in college-level math at Marshall University are eligible to participate. This includes students with an ACT Math subscore below 19 or an SAT Mathematics score below 500 (or SAT Mathematics score below 460 if taken before March 2016).
Why: Enhance math skills prior to enrollment in Fall 2017 math courses with the opportunity to improve level of math placement.
When: Monday – Friday, July 17 – 21, 2017, and Monday – Friday, July 24 – 28, 2017 (10 days)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. daily with a one-hour lunch break (lunch will be provided)
Where: Marshall University Huntington Campus
How: Complete the Summer Bridge Math Prep Registration Form.
Registration deadline is Monday, July 10, 2017. Registration will close earlier if all seats are filled prior to the registration deadline. A short waiting list will be maintained.
