A Note About the Recreation Center Fee Our students ranked the Marshall Recreation Center as a major priority for the Huntington campus and, in support of the center, voted to assess a mandatory fee for its construction. This mandatory, non-refundable, prorated fee was approved by our Governing Board and is assessed to all undergraduate, graduate and professional students taking courses on the Huntington campus. ONLINE COURSES - Online courses are subject to a separate fee assessment than classroom courses. Please click the ONLINE COURSES link for more information.
Tuition assessments are presented by credit hour for on-campus and off-campus sites. Several undergraduate and graduate programs are assessed a program fee, which have been identified separately for your convenience. Certain courses have laboratory/practicum fees ranging from $25.00 to $200.00, and are NOT included the figures presented here.

Summer 2009 Recreation Center Fee Information Students enrolled in Huntington Campus courses will be assessed Recreation Center Fees as a part of their tuition cost. Undergraduate students pay $12.50 per credit hour, and graduate students pay $16.75 per credit hour, with $150 being the maximum amount charged for the entire summer. Students paying a total of $150 in Recreation Center Fees will have full access to the facility for the duration of the summer. Students wishing to access the Recreation Center whose course enrollment does not result in a total assessment of $150 in Recreation Center Fees may: pay the difference between their assessment and the $150 directly to the Recreation Center in order to obtain access to the facility May 11 - August 23 pay $6 per visit to the Recreation Center

Summer 2009 Recreation Center Fee Information
Students enrolled in Huntington Campus courses will be assessed Recreation Center Fees as a part of their tuition cost. Undergraduate students pay $12.50 per credit hour, and graduate students pay $16.75 per credit hour, with $150 being the maximum amount charged for the entire summer. Students paying a total of $150 in Recreation Center Fees will have full access to the facility for the duration of the summer.

Students wishing to access the Recreation Center whose course enrollment does not result in a total assessment of $150 in Recreation Center Fees may:

Please note:
FAILURE TO RECEIVE A BILLING STATEMENT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AS A REASON FOR MISSING THE PAYMENT DEADLINE

Students who have a financial obligation to the university cannot engage in any registration activity until the obligation is satisfied. Should the obligation remain unpaid and require assignment to a state-authorized collection agency, the student will additionally be responsible for all collection costs incurred by the institution.
As stated in the Marshall University catalog, “If you do not pay your enrollment fees on or before the due date, your registration will be cancelled and you will be subject to withdrawal from the university.” This withdrawal can occur for one or more courses, an entire course load, and University housing, as appropriate.
