Welcome!

On behalf of the Center for African American Students' Programs (CAASP), welcome to Marshall University and the website for African American student interventions, resources and programming.

The Center for African American Students' Program is centrally located in the Memorial Student Center on the main campus in Huntington, WV and offers an environment that is accessible and conducive for student development and growth. The Office of Multicultural Affairs and staff of CAASP believe that commitment to excellence, proper nurturance and individualized attention to each unique African American student's most critical academic and personal issues are essential to a well rounded and successful education at an institution of higher learning. The primary areas of focus of the CAASP are on academic excellence, a vibrant student life, and the development of personal qualities and values necessary for success in today's society. The Center operates under the auspices of the Division of Multicultural Affairs under the leadership of Dr. Shari Clarke, Vice President.

The Center for African-American Students' Programs congratulates Sean Hornbuckle & LaShawna Sampson on winning the Student Government Association election and becoming the new President & Vice-President of the Student Body!
