Marshall University Honors College

     Mission

The Marshall University Honors College creates programs, activities, and rich, student-centered courses that inspire students to pursue knowledge, develop continuing and new interests, and share in the intellectual growth that small classes and engaged professors can promise. We seek to create a community of learning where the open exchange of ideas enriches and helps guide life-decisions as well as intellectual growth; where professors as well as students share ideas, research and writing; where bright students participate in a community that nurtures and values them. To that end, we develop an honors curriculum that values diverse cultures and diverse ways of thinking, and that teaches intellectual integrity, academic honesty and creativity across the curriculum--in the sciences, humanities, arts.
