Musical Theatre Program

Join the Exciting Musical Theatre Program at Marshall University!

The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a musical theatre major is offered jointly by the School of Music and the School of Theatre and Dance.  This program prepares students for entry into professional musical theatre careers or graduate studies in musical theatre and includes extensive training in singing, acting, and dance.  Students will have opportunities throughout their studies to engage in immersive experiences in workshops and studios as well as fully staged productions.

Under the mentorship of award-winning faculty, Musical Theatre majors develop skills and artistry in music, theatre, and dance.  Our faculty are accomplished and experienced performers and practitioners in their fields and are dedicated to their students’ success.  Performances will be held in the beautiful Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center, Smith Music Hall, and in other venues limited only by your creativity.
