Dot Hicks Field

The Thundering Herd softball program received a major boost in 2008 with construction of a new soccer complex in the 2200 block of Third Avenue. The convenient location enables Marshall students to attend games without leaving campus.

The field is named after Dr. Dorothy E. “Dot” Hicks because of her generosity and commitment to excellence. She is a former professor at Marshall and coach of several sports, including tennis, golf and volleyball.
