We are located in the Memorial Student Center on Fifth Avenue in office number BW9. The office is managed by Robert Dorado, the Campus Card Manager, who reports to Dr. Karen E. Kirtley, the Senior Vice-President for Administration.
The ID Office makes photo identification cards and badges for Marshall University students, faculty, and staff. The ID Office is required to verify the identity of any individual requesting a card with a valid, Government issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport.
STUDENTS: To be eligible for a student identification card or ID badge active enrollment is required for the current or upcoming academic term. Prior to requesting an ID Card, students should ensure their permanent mailing address is correct on MyMU. All student identification cards are produced by HigherOne and mailed to the permanent address on record with the university.
Badges for student teaching, nursing, or other clinicals require approval in advance from the responsible department. Please check with the instructor or the ID Office to ensure the proper authorization is on file.
EMPLOYEES: Full time faculty or staff must present ID authorization documents from Human Resource Services.
Part-time, extra-help employees must present a letter from the employing department on university letterhead identifying them and must have a university identification number assigned in advance.
If you need to have your photo taken for your ID card, photos can be taken at the following locations:
Huntington Campus - at the MU ID Office South Charleston Campus - at the Library Mid-Ohio Valley Center (MOVC) Teays Valley Regional Center
In all cases, you must present proper ID at the office to pick up your card or badge.
