Commuter Meal Plans

We offer 10 different meal plan options.  These plans may be purchased for use during any regular academic term.

Twin Towers and Harless cafeterias offer "all you care to eat" except premium nights.  The Memorial Student Center Food Court, a retail dining location, offers a meal card value called "cash equivalency" which is available on all meal plans except the unlimited meal plans.  The cash equivalency rates for each academic year are posted at each location.  Any purchase over the cash equivalency rates in the Memorial Student Center must be paid for in cash/points/flex at the time of purchase.  Refunds are not given if the amount of purchase is less than the cash equivalency rate.  If you have any dietary constraints, please contact the Sodexo General Manager at 304-696-3329.

Meal Plans may be purchased through the I.D. Office located in the Memorial Student Center BW9. Payment is made at the Office of the Bursar.  All Meal Plans offered by Marshall University require a Marshall University Student or Faculty/Staff I.D. MEAL PLAN BALANCES DO NOT CARRY OVER TO THE NEXT SEMESTER.

*Flex can be used at all food service locations, however, Flex balances do not carry over to the next semester.  Flex dollars are dining currency that accompany selected meal plans that allow customers to purchase items from one of our retail dining locations like the MSC Food Court, MU Express, or Cafe a la Cart.

Terms and conditions: Refunds will not be given for unused meals purchased under options A, B, or C.  Meal and Flex balances DO NOT carry over to the next semester.  A prorated amount will be refunded in the event of a student withdrawal from Marshall University on options D-J within the first 12 weeks of the semester, after which no refunds will be given.  The plans are only valid during regular semesters and do not include Marshall University recesses.  Your signature to the Commuter Meal Plan Agreement indicates agreement to all policies, regulations and procedures pertaining to your Commuter Meal Plan Agreement and any other publications which are made part of the agreement.  Your student I.D. card must be presented for each meal.  Meals and/or meal plans are nontransferable.  In the event you lose or damage your I.D. there will be a replacement charge.  If you card is lost, please call 1-866-686-6399 immediately to report the loss.

When requested to do so by authorized university personnel, students must present their Marshall University Campus identification card. Authorized university personnel include, but are not limited to, any staff member of the residence halls or food service, MUPD and security. Campus I.D. cards may be used only by the student whose name appears on the card.

Meals and/or meal plans are nontransferable. Any alteration or misuse of university identification cards is prohibited and subject to disciplinary action. Your student ID card must be presented for each meal. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser. Any violation of the I.D. Card policy will be subject to university disciplinary action.

Problems with I.D. Cards should be directed to the I.D. Office in the basement of the Memorial Student Center.
