Career Fairs

Career Fairs offer students a great opportunity to meet recruiters face-to-face, hand out resumes, and learn about companies that are currently offering employment opportunities.

STUDENTS - To be successful at a career fair, come dressed in appropriate attire with several copies of your resume. Be prepared to network with recruiters and talk with them for 2-5 minutes about your educational background, experience, and interest in the position. Research the employers you are interested in talking to and have questions prepared about the positions. Click here for tips on how to prepare for a career fair (PDF document).

RECRUITERS - The Marshall University Career Services Center conducts several career fairs a year to assist you in finding the most qualified applicants. We also provide opportunities for on-campus recruiting the day following a career expo or other times during the semester.
