Credential Files & References
A credential file is a compilation of background information that is sent to prospective employers when a candidate is applying for a position or to graduate school.
A credential file should contain your resume, a transcript, letters of recommendation and, for education majors, their student teaching evaluations, Praxis scores, and immunization record.
Utilize JobTrax as a great place to store your credential file for easy access whenever you need it.
**Please be advised that if you have your employment Credential File set up in your Marshall JobTrax account through Career Services, two important changes take effect immediately:
1. We can no longer send an ’official’ transcript from this office. All official transcripts must be obtained directly from the Registrar’s office and carry a cost. Unofficial transcripts may also be obtained from the Registrar at no cost.
2. Career Services will no longer send out your credential files to employers from this office. If you use your JobTrax account for your credential file documents, they will need to be self-managed. You will have full access to print the stored documents from your JobTrax account, as well as add, delete and edit documents (except Praxis test scores and teaching evaluations).
