BlackBoard Collaborate Training Opportunity for Faculty

The Center for Teaching and Learning, in conjunction with Information Technology, will again be hosting a workshop on Blackboard Collaborate. This workshop will focus on how to deploy Collaborate in Blackboard Learn, use Collaborate in your online courses (asynchronous), and host online meetings (synchronous).

Our goal for this workshop is to assemble a multidisciplinary cohort of 20 faculty members who have varying levels of experience using technology to support teaching and learning. The workshop will take place online using Collaborate from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm on February 11, 18, and 25, 2014. Additionally, there will be 2-3 practice sessions to complete between our online meetings. If you are unable to attend all three online sessions, please do not apply at this time.

Faculty who are interested in participating may submit an application here. The application deadline is January 24, 2014. Those selected will be notified by January 31, 2014.

Additional information about Blackboard Collaborate is available here (https://www.blackboard.com/platforms/collaborate/overview.aspx).
