Glenn and Carol Queen provided the donation that established the Pickens-Queen Teaching Award to acknowledge the importance of excellent teaching in the first years of a faculty member’s career at Marshall University.  There are three $1,000.00 awards given annually to faculty with less than 6 years of teaching experience at Marshall. These awards are designed not just to recognize good teaching, but to establish the value that the university places on quality education.
