Through the Marshall University Foundation and a gift from Marshall and Shirley Reynolds, a $3000.00 award has been provided to recognize and give evidence of the importance placed on superior teaching by senior faculty members at Marshall University. Recipients of the Marshall and Shirley Reynolds Outstanding Teaching Award must have at least seven years of experience at Marshall, and superior teaching must be demonstrated by evidence from colleagues, students, and classroom observations. This is the oldest of the current faculty awards, having been given for over 20 years.
