The Faculty Development Office provides a wide range of professional development
opportunities for new and experienced faculty members, both full-time and part-time.
Our signature initiatives include New Faculty Orientation and Teaching Consultation
Services. We have recently launched several new programs, including an annual fall
teaching conference (iPED: Inquiring Pedagogies) and a New Faculty Mentoring Program.
The Office also offers faculty development programming to assist those teaching
in the new Core Curriculum.
The Office supports faculty in achieving their full potential as teacher/scholars,
and to that end now offers a fuller array of professional development services,
including Research Boot Camp for New Faculty and P & T Consultation Services.
Finally, the Office works to create spaces for faculty to gather, both face to face
and virtually, to exchange ideas and develop new knowledge.
