Design Matters (DM) Registration

Design Matters focuses on building and strengthening the technological infrastructure of your online course. Facilitated by Kristen Huff and the MUOnline Design Center staff, DM begins with a face-to-face workshop, has four online modules spaced one week apart, and concludes on May 19, 2013. Using the materials designed in the PM (Pedagogy Matters) workshop, participants will will align course technologies with the course outcomes, built learner supporrt into the course, ensure accessibility of the course and content, and create a course overview and introduction. At the conclusion of DM, participants will have an online course that is faithful to the requirements of the institution and teh essential components of Standards 6, 7, 8, and 1 of the Quality Matters rubric. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Enrollees may choose between two options for the initial face-to-face meeting and those who complete DM will receive a stipend of $200.00. DM will be offered:

  • April 12, 2013: 1:00pm - 4:30pm (Huntington, DL 349)
  • April 13, 2013: 8:30am - 12:00pm (South Charleston, TBA)

Following the initial meeting, DM will consist of four online modules spaced one week apart, and conclude on May 19, 2013.
