Design Matters (DM) Registration

Design Matters is accepting registrations from individuals who have completed PM and are teaching, or will be teaching, online courses (e-courses or hybrids) in the coming academic year. The workshop focuses on building and strengthening the technological infrastructure of your online course. DM begins with a half-day, face-to-face workshop, has four online modules spaced one week apart. Using the materials designed in the PM (Pedagogy Matters) workshop, participants will align course technologies with the course outcomes, build learner support into the course, ensure accessibility of the course and content, and create a course overview and introduction. At the conclusion of DM, participants will have an online course that is faithful to the requirements of the institution and the essential components of Standards 6, 7, 8, and 1 of the Quality Matters rubric. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Enrollees may choose between two options for the initial face-to-face meeting. DM will be offered:

  • April 11, 2014: 1:00pm-4:30 pm (Huntington, DL 349). Course includes four online modules spaced one week apart and concludes on May 15, 2014.
  • April 12, 2014: 8:30am-12:00pm (South Charleston, TBA). Course includes four online modules spaced one week apart and concludes on May 15, 2014.
