Pedagogy Matters (PM) Registration

Pedagogy Matters focuses on building and strengthening the pedagogical infrastructure of your online course. Faciliated by Karen McComas, PM begins with a face-to-face workshop, has four online modules spaced two weeks apart, and concludes on April 14, 2013. During this session, participants will develop or revise their course outcomes. Using these as the foundation for the course, participants will then align unit outcomes, assessments, instructional materials and teaching and learning activities with the new course outcomes. At the conclusion of PM, participants will have a working syllabus that is faithful to the requirements of the institution and the essential requirements of Standards 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the Quality Matters rubric. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Enrollees may choose between two options for the initial face-to-face meeting and those who complete PM will receive a stipend of $300.00. PM will be offered:

  • February 15, 2013: 1:00pm to 4:30pm (South Charleston, TBA)
  • February 16, 2013: 8:30am - 12:00pm (Huntington, DL 349)

Following the initial meeting, PM will consist of four online modules spaced two weeks apart, and conclude on April 14, 2013.
